Who actually does the job

The workshop behind the quote

Every claim on this site is backed by something physical: a workshop we work in every week, machines that cut the stone, and people who are on site while your order is being made. This page is the part a brochure cannot show you and a listing site has no reason to publish.

01

A workshop, not a trading desk

Travertine is processed in two of China's stone clusters, and we work in both. Shuitou in Fujian is the export hub closest to the load ports; Yunfu in Guangdong carries deep slab and cut-to-size capacity. Between them they hold the gangsaw lines, resin lines, calibrating and polishing machines needed to turn blocks into finished pieces.

We are not a middleman with a website. We buy the block, we choose the factory for each job, and our own people stand in that factory while it runs. If a piece is wrong, it is corrected on the spot — which is the only moment correcting it is still cheap.

  • Two production clusters used as one supply base
  • Factory selected per job, not locked to one partner
  • Our staff on site during cutting, polishing and loading
  • Load ports: Xiamen, Quanzhou, Ningbo or Shanghai

Machines we run

Capability only means something if the equipment behind it can hold tolerance. These are the stages your order passes through.

Block sawing & gangsaw

Primary cutting of rough blocks into slab and billet sizes, with the cut planned around the veining rather than against it.

Resin line

Surface reinforcement and polishing base — the step that decides whether a slab reads as premium or as ordinary.

Calibrating & thickness

Thickness held across the slab so a job can be booked by nominal size without surprises at installation.

Waterjet & CNC cutting

Cut-to-size and complex profiles — sink cutouts, mitres, inlays — from the same drawing that was approved.

Edge & surface finishing

Honed, polished, leathered, brushed and flamed finishes brought up to the standard the drawing specified.

CAD / 3ds Max / BIM nesting

Drawings nested and optimised before anything is cut, so yield is planned rather than discovered — you approve 3D output first.

03

Who handles your order

Described by role, not by job title on a business card. These are the people whose names you will actually be dealing with.

Sourcing & allocation

Buys the block, grades the bundle and matches shelf, veining and calibre to your drawing before a factory is booked.

Project coordination

Your single point of contact. Holds the drawing, the schedule and the single answer you get — from first enquiry to bill of lading.

Factory liaison

Sits with the factory on the job, translates the drawing on the floor and flags problems while they are still cheap to fix.

Quality control

Checks thickness, calibre, veining, polish and finish batch by batch, and photographs the records so you can inspect them before shipping.

Pre-loading inspection

Checks the actual pieces against your approved sample before the container is sealed, so a defect leaves in China rather than at your warehouse.

Export documentation

Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and loading report — prepared in English, issued to you with the shipping documents.

04

Numbers you can check

No vague claims. These are the figures we quote and work to, and they are the ones you should hold us to.

69 Product forms Block through finished installation pieces
20 mm Standard thickness Calibrated; other thicknesses on request
7–15 Days lead time After deposit, for standard production
0.14% Water absorption Density 2.70 g/cm³, flexural 15.8 MPa
4 Load ports Xiamen, Quanzhou, Ningbo, Shanghai
2 Production clusters Shuitou and Yunfu, used as one base

We do not publish a price list. Natural stone moves with the block, the grade, the finish and the market, and a number printed on a website is wrong by the time you read it. Tell us the form, thickness, finish, size and quantity, and we quote FOB in writing against that specification.

05

How a job actually runs

From the moment you send a requirement to the moment the container closes, so you know what happens while you are waiting.

D0

Requirement received

Drawing, quantity and destination. We confirm grade, thickness and finish, then confirm stock and quote FOB.

D1–3

Slab layout issued

Slab selection and nested layout produced in 3D / BIM / CAD for your approval before any cutting begins.

D3–7

Production & QC

Cutting, finishing and batch-by-batch QC on site. Progress photographs sent as the job moves.

D7–12

Pre-loading inspection

Pieces checked against your approved sample, then supervised container loading with a seal number issued.

On sailing

Documents handed over

Invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and loading report, with freight options quoted side by side.

06

What we will not do

Trust is easier to believe when a supplier tells you where the line is. Ours is below.

We do not pass your details to the factory

Your drawings, quantities and destination stay with us. The factory is told what to cut, never who it is for.

We do not ship uninspected to save a week

If pre-loading inspection finds a defect, the piece stays in China. A faster delivery of wrong goods is not a delivery.

We do not put a second trader between you and us

No undisclosed markup layer. The quotation you receive is the quotation we work to.

We do not quote a stone we cannot supply

One variety, handled completely. If the grade or form is not there, we say so rather than substitute quietly.

Ask us the hard questions

If you want to see the workshop, the equipment or the QC records before you place anything, ask. We will show you. A supplier who cannot answer that is telling you something.
